Faryl Returns With 2nd Album On Sale 30th November
24 September 2009
Faryl who became the fastest selling debut classical artist of all time is back with her second album 'WONDERLAND'. Featuring a beautiful adaptation Somewhere Far Away, Wonderland and a very special duet O Holy Night
Her new album will push the boundaries both in terms of the music and also Faryl's voice. Featuring a beautiful adaptation Somewhere Far Away (music from Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence), Wonderland (music from Winter from the Four Seasons) and a very special duet O Holy Night.
Faryl has produced an artist's album that appeals beyond its classical groundings. ''The first album was an introduction to me and an introduction for me to recording,'' says Faryl, ''I'd never been in a studio before and suddenly, there I was with an amazing orchestra, incredible musicians. I realised that there was so much you can achieve in that environment. I wanted to follow up that album as quickly as possible with another record, something richer and varied.''
Wonderland producer Jon Cohen states: ''Faryl is an outstanding talent. On this record we've really pushed the boundaries both in terms of the music and also Faryl's voice. She's matured as an artiste since the first album and I have no doubt that once again, people will be astonished and moved by her performances.''
Back in February, Faryl's debut album was outselling U2, she inspired England's rugby players to victory by singing for 80,000 at Twickenham and she became the fastest selling classical artist of all time.
Dividing her time between schoolroom, studio and concert hall, Faryl successfully manages to juggle her schoolwork whilst establishing herself as an international star. She supported Katherine Jenkins on a national tour, playing to arenas and opened the Classical BRIT Awards show to thousands at the Royal Albert Hall and millions watching at home.
